About two years ago, I made a poncho by weaving many different yarns through a ready woven thing. I decided I didn't like it (it was the colour of bruises) and gave it to Juliet who LOVED it. A colleague of hers saw it and asked if she could have one in bright colours for her mum. So here I am in positively Arctic conditions on the back deck cause that's where the table is cause it's not in the kitchen cause it's (the kitchen) being SLOWLY renovated. And because I couldn't find another ready woven thing, I had to knit one. And it's blowing a stiff southerly out there, and now I'm at the pooter I'm reluctant to go out again. Right - that's enough whining. At least I'm keeping the neighbours entertained with Cat Stevens and The Beatles. Hmm - showing my age?

Cat Stevens and The Beatles! I KNEW we could be friends. What a very clever thing to do. Large knitting and then weaving. Can't wait to see it done.
