I've finally figured out what to do with left over sock yarn. Baby beanies, of course! And cowls. Soooooooo easy. I'm going to need easy things - November is looking like HELL!

Miss Bib has been hassling me for months to make her friend one of these bags. So I started with the purple-ish one, but of course couldn't stop at just one. In fact I only stopped when the rain started and I had to move the sewing machine inside ('cos the only table we have is on the deck.) And then of course I had to make my way over to Reverse Garbage to see what they had - lots and lots of new fabric samples - yummmmmmmm!! Which means lots and lots of home made Christmas presents.

And I had a brief spring cleaning moment in E's room and almost gave this one away. But I decided it fits me instead.

Lots of purples. I used the first of my N. Z. wool for the simplest of mitts.

Our jacaranda is so big, it's a bit of a landmark in our suburb. People say - oh that's YOUR house! Yes it is.

School holidays - what a misnomer!

But I have managed to finish a few things. One Alice-beanie (again modelled by the world's most reluctant model - don't you just love the body language - "do I have to?")

And a lapful of goodies (including the Alice-beanie) - 2 pairs of Noro socks made in N. Z.; one pair of socks from a yarn I can't remember buying, half made in N. Z. and half made here (no knitting on planes - NOT FAIR!!! and it wasn't until the 2nd last day in N. Z. that I gave in and knitted in the car); and one pair of rainbow leg-warmers as requested by Kristina.
